Our latest branding design project is RJG Computers, a small privatly owned computer and mobile repair business servicing The Golden Triangle, Texas. Our client Ryan wanted a modern and clean look for all his marketing materials and website.

Website Design:

I started out with his website design, giving him a modern yet professional look with soft blues and soft grays to compliment his logo. We wanted the compliance logos to be big and eye catching but not overwhelm the page so we framed them with a background of their own.  The website is coded strictly with HTML / CSS yet it features professionally designed graphics, color themes, icons, and navigation; proving once again that good designed can be achieved through simplicity.

Print Media:

The next step was to design his print materials, business cards, flyers, thank you cards, and T-Shirts.

Once that everything was all done we precoded with print and production and the result is one happy client.

We would also like to take a moment to thank Ryan for joining KIVA and helping out others less fortunate around the globe.

Search Engine Optimization can be a tricky and messy ordeal not to mention expensive but for your average user who doesn’t mind doing a little bit of work there are a few things you can do to help your search engine ranking with out spending a fortune:

1. Never use generic page titles across your site (Example: About Us) instead try to specify what your page is about and personalize it with your business name (Example: AVANT Marketing Graphics – Graphic Design, Website Design, Marketing).

2. Try to get rid of the “HOME” link, is not always possible, but if you can do so scrap it for something more descriptive of your business, even your business name alone would be ok and generate much better results on search engines.

3. Try to visit your website at least once in a 24 hour period, your ip is recorded and search engines count it as one unique organic traffic. If you can just make your website your homepage so you don’t have to remember to do so as well. If you have employees with computers make sure their homepage is also set to the company’s website as default.

4. Get involved, search engines like websites that get updated on a regular basis, get feedback from your clients or hire a professional SEO to do a comprehensive site analysis.

5. Don’t be afraid of marketing, the truth is you have to spend money to make money, the more ads and links you have going to your site the better; however, be careful with this step as Google frowns on irrelevant links and if you advertise with a low ranking website then your site will get hurt as well.

6. Don’t pay for site submission, it is still amazing to me how many cookie cutter SEO companies out there market search engine submissions as something that must be done; search engines have evolved and believe me Google, Bing, Yahoo, and all other major search engines out there know your site is there within days after going live.
