The Logo:
Saratoga Springs CrossFit had a very clear concept of their logo in mind, emphasizing the SS in CrossFit since it also stood for “Saratoga Springs”. I went with a strong distresses typeface and implemented the SS int he kettlebell. I typically like to create 2 versions of one logo a “tall” version and a “wide” version so that it can be used accordingly across different marketing materials and yet maintain branding.

A few weeks ago Angel asked me to design her website, the challenge was that she wanted to have the ability to incorporate an online shopping cart, a blog, and a membership system within the same site in the near future without having to re-design or re-build in a CMS platform when she was ready to take that step forward.
The solution I choose was to use Joomla’s immensely expandable platform to create the initial informational state of her site. Built with a flexible module system and expandable layout we where able to achieve exactly what she was looking for.

What to do when your CrossFit Affiliate name is taken?
Some of my most common clients are CrossFit Affiliate owners looking to give their existing websites and branding a massive face-lift or create a professional brand for their new box; however, one of the biggest issues I have recently come across of is Affiliate owners who are unable to register their domain name because someone else is cybersquatting in an attempt to make a quick buck.
Cybersquatting is also known as “domain squatting”, it basically refers to a company or individual who is registering a domain with ill faith intent to profit from the goodwill of a trademark or copyright belonging to someone else. In short someone who offers to sell the domain to the person or company who owns a trademark at an inflated price.
